Background and Affiliations

Sarah joins Build from the California Academy of Sciences’ Development Department where she held a management role on the operations team. During her time there, she served as the fundraising functional lead during a data transition and CRM implementation period. Her work primarily focused on overall CRM management, navigating institutional needs and technology challenges around fundraising data, and generating support and trust in technology tools.

Prior to her time with the Academy, Sarah developed her CRM experience and interest at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City in their Membership Department. Sarah began her commitment to nonprofits through volunteer positions and internships with Friends of the National Zoo and San Diego Zoo Global.

Sarah’s passion and support of nonprofit attractions have allowed her to gain experience and understanding in many of areas of operation. A desire to combine this experience with her interpersonal skills, positive communication style, and interest in technology lead her to Build where she can expand her support to an array of nonprofit clients.
